ProScript is a fast and efficient tool for creating and running automatic ‘Test Scripts’, for use with SAP and Microsoft Excel. It can also be used for any of your SAP transaction automation needs and basic data migration for production environments e.g. block vendors, create materials, journals.
ProScript captures, and replays, all user interactions with SAP, and can be used for simple transaction automation through to the building of end-to-end automated test suites.
ProScript is not limited to recording and running a single transaction – it can also record and replay sequences of transactions with interdependencies e.g. PO create, goods receipt, invoice receipt.
ProScript‘s ability to record and controlled by users own authorisations replay sequences of transactions, taking the outputs of transactions and using them as inputs to other transactions, allows you to build fully automated test scripts for both functional testing and regression testing of end-to-end processes.
ProScript runs in Excel and requires no additional skills to use - if you can run an SAP transaction, and add data into Excel, you can use ProScript!
Despite its simplicity, ProScript is an extremely powerful tool. It can record any SAP transaction – including custom developed transactions and complex transactions using tree controls etc.
All of the user’s interactions when running the transaction, along with the data input by the user, are captured and recorded in an Excel spreadsheet. Users then simply add more data rows to the spreadsheet and ‘Run’ the script. This then re-runs the recorded transactions using the data in the spreadsheet – and not just once! The spreadsheet ‘holds’ the script and data within it and can be re-opened at any time, more data records may be added, and the script re-run as often as you like!

ProDoc is a fast and efficient tool for creating user documentation for SAP transactions. As you run an SAP transaction, it automatically inserts into Microsoft Word all of your inputs, key presses, button-clicks and more, alongside screen-shots of the SAP transactions that you are executing.

It takes SAP transaction recordings (made using SAP’s standard Transaction recorder), along with data files that you create, to automatically run the recorded Transaction – using your data as inputs.
ProCapture is very simple to learn and usually requires no formal training or consulting. All that is required is knowledge of the SAP Transactions to be automated and the documentation provided.
The steps involved in a ProCapture run are, typically:
- record yourself running the SAP Transaction using SAP’s standard Transaction recorder (SHDB);
- import this recording into ProCapture and identify fixed and variable fields in accordance with the data you wish load;
- prepare a data file for the Transaction to be run – in Excel or elsewhere;
- create and execute a ‘Direct Run’ to automatically run your Transactions into SAP;
- identify and separate out any failures into an errors file – which can then be fixed and used as the data file for a new ‘Direct Run’. Supports iterative data cleansing
